I'm open-minded, outgoing, interested in the world (and struggle to stop myself trying to improve the bits I don't like!), enjoy random niche things (like singing in choirs, playing real tennis and broadening my mind by chatting with people who don't necessarily agree with me!).
I get involved in too many causes and my enthusiasm often (still!) gets the better of me. I love a really good wine, meal, chat, play, thought, activity or challenge. I'm fundamentally positive and like to surround myself with interesting people who actually make a difference (or at least who don't give up - or never start - because the problem seems too big).

My ideal match isn't put off by my enthusiasm but meets it with curiosity and thoughtfulness - and then brings enthusiasm and idealism of her own. She's bright and thoughtful and someone who is equally comfortable watching trashy TV one night and in the theatre or opera house the next. She looks after herself (because that's important, especially as we get older!) and expects me to do the same (I do!) but not as an obsession. She's someone who is happy to throw on some old clothes to get her hands dirty and then put on a posh frock and sparkles for a black tie dinner in the evening. She's equally at home having a pint (or a G&T!) with locals in an average pub and with high fliers in a St James's club. She's beautiful because she's been lucky with her genetics and because her positive, hope-filled and giving character shines through so brightly you just can't miss it, not because she's covered in fake lashes and tweakments. She's happy to pack her day with activity or to reach out a hand to me in bed for a lazy morning together. She wants to hook her thumb in the back pocket of my jeans as we walk along together.
She's someone with ideas and she appreciates that in someone else. Because of that she wants to raise me up and for me to do the same for her.
