About her
Life’s been wonderfully busy, but I’m hoping there’s still room for a rather good plot twist… preferably involving someone special.
Geography graduate, lifelong traveller and naturally curious. I’ve crossed Russia on the Trans-Siberian Express, explored India by rail, driven Route 66 in a Cadillac (with a tent — glamour has its limits), and travelled through South Africa, Australia, Fiji and the Cook Islands. These days I’m discovering Europe at a more leisurely pace — good food, interesting places and time to actually enjoy the view.
I have a career in HR that I love, two fabulous kids at university and two dogs, including a rescue, who ensure I’m very well acquainted with the local countryside — whatever the weather.
For a little intrigue, I chair a murder-mystery company, so my inner Agatha Christie gets regular outings. I promise not to bump you off if the first date goes badly.
I’m equally happy at the theatre, a comedy night, pub quiz, big-band evening or seeing live music — with the occasional visit to the gym and spa to maintain the illusion of virtue.
I’ve lived in London and on the South Coast, but these days I’m enjoying life at a slightly gentler pace.
Looking for someone intelligent, warm and funny, with a sense of adventure and a twinkle in their eye. Someone who can make me laugh, enjoys a little spontaneity and still believes the best chapters might be the ones we haven’t written yet.

I’m looking for that lovely combination of friendship, companionship and chemistry — someone who feels like a best friend, but with that all-important spark.
An interesting, intelligent man with a good sense of humour who enjoys conversation, is curious about the world and doesn’t take himself too seriously.
I’m left of centre politically and probably happiest with someone who shares broadly similar values — open-minded, compassionate and interested in the world around them. We certainly don’t have to agree on everything (where would the fun be in that?), but kindness and a compatible outlook on life matter to me.
I’d love someone to share travels and adventures with, but just as importantly, the everyday things — walks with the dogs, theatre trips, weekends away, shared hobbies, a pub quiz or simply relaxing together.
Ultimately, I’m looking for someone to laugh with, explore with and build something genuinely special with. A best friend, a romantic partner and a fellow adventurer for the next chapter.
And if you can make me laugh and know roughly where Mongolia is, you’re already doing rather well.
