About her
Allegedly, Dvorak wrote his cello concerto in the autumn of his life, and whilst I'm not a composer, nor have any great plans to write a novel, I do plan to fill the autumn of my, fortunately, healthy life kicking the leaves about, travelling to new places, visiting again ones I've already seen, enjoying hobbies and learning new skills.
Music is a great love, and I sing in a local choir and play in a local orchestra. I regularly walk, usually 6 miles in a group followed by an hour or two in a pub.
I'm trying to learn chess, which is challenging and bridge, the latter to challenge a long held misconception that is was for 'ladies who lunch'. Other brain activities are continuing to try and learn German, to justify the EU passport I hold by way of my German mother.
I enjoy theatre, films, art galleries, when I have the opportunity, and both decent and naff films.
And of course family, who are great fun and all independent.

I'd dearly like to find a fellow traveller who still hasn't lost the energy to open up their laptop/phone/newspaper and feel frustration or anger or sadness at the inequities in societies here and abroad.
Compassion and a sense of humour are pretty important - generally touchy feely.
