Academic philosopher, bookish but sociable, into books (see above), music, conversation, dining, etc. Am told I look young for my age. Friendship and family are both very important to me; I have a lovely grown-up daughter and several lovely grown-up friends. Have written academic philosophy, some fiction, some music. Novel came out in February. Aversions: TV, social media, groupthink, party politics (as opp. to politics), noise pollution, Jean-Luc Godard (negotiable). Although an atheist, I'm pro-theist and have many religious friends. For many years I had rheumatoid arthritis which has left me with pretty gnarled but functional hands and a below average walking range, but my health is now good. Used to play the piano a lot and still play it with friend(s).
