About her
The easiest way to tell you about me is to describe my perfect Sunday - early morning in bed with tea, paper, dog & cat, then a long cross country walk with the dog (whatever the weather) or time on the river sailing or just messing before returning to light the fire and get roast on. Cutting logs, diy jobs, laughing, lazy afternoon stroll round the castle to watch the sun go down before an evening on the sofa, red wine, cheese, chilli jam discussing why we don't listen to the Top 20 anymore.
I am an 80's girl, I could do anything my brothers could do, I went to college, qualified as a chartered surveyor, worked my way up to powerful job in the City, found the "perfect" man then mixed this with having kids .....then things fell apart, a roller coaster ride (which seems so normal nowadays) and I find myself 15 years on having brought up 2 independent boys as a solo parent back in the countryside. A bit battered and bruised but really proud of what I have done. So things didn’t work out how I expected but I am strangely contented but I really miss having someone to share the triumphs, fun times, crap days and just to mull over the world.
No 1 son is at Uni & No 2 son doing Alevels remotely instead of boarding school! Most of the time it is me and my furry friends but I enjoy the peace of good walks, a rewarding job, lovely home, live jigsaw on the kitchen table & amazing human friends.
