About her
Oh gosh. These sorts of questions are always so hard to answer. Not really very good at doing some kind of sales job on myself. What would my friends say about me? I don't really know, good sense of humour perhaps, intelligent and logical. What do I like doing? I like engaging with interesting ideas, playing bridge, staying home, having a laugh, keeping up to date with assorted interests tending towards the sciences and doing a spot of DIY as needed. I have spent most of my working life involved with property one way or another, having renovated a succession of Listed buildings. I do like to live somewhere beautiful and would not be happy in a high rise flat in a town. I am an independent person and pretty happy with my own company but would really like someone to do stuff with.
Originally I was planning to spend my time, now the children have left home, travelling the world with my bicycle road racing and when too old for that maybe touring. Unfortunately, I had an accident that permanently damaged my hamstrings putting an end to this idea as I am no longer to train in the way required. However, the good news is that I am fully functional and like to remain active and fit but would quite like someone to be active with.

Would love to meet someone who is emotionally stable, rational and enquiring. A sense of humour is an absolute must. You probably would not be a party type unless you are happy to do the partying solo! Intelligent conversation is much preferred to pointless chit-chat.
In the end, it is all about whether we click or not and it seems to me that putting too much store by a photograph and a check box list approach on here is probably not a great idea. This might be an easy way to dismiss someone for shallow reasons who might turn out to be a great companion.
