About her
I am an honest and open person who cares about people and listens well. I can be fairly independent and reflective but welcome companionship hence my being on this site! I read quite a lot, enjoy photography, poetry, gardening and exploring the great outdoors. I enjoy walking, which hopefully keeps me fit, and is restorative. I like to discover new places especially in the countryside, and preferably less populated! In recent years I have particularly loved the Hebrides and parts of North Wales, the sea and coastlines, which I find exhilarating. I am also very open to exploring towns and cities, especially old places, at home or overseas. In years past I loved one or two holidays on the Greek islands and a number in France. Currently trying to learn Welsh!
The arts interest me and I enjoyed some excellent sessions from the Art Society during lockdown. I belong to a couple of local conservation groups.

I have 3 adult married children two of whom are overseas. I enjoy the grand-children and keep in regular contact with family even if simply electronically.
Much of my working life was with various charities, some of it personnel/counselling related, some encouraging the use of quiet space outdoors in various contexts. I also worked overseas for a while in the eighties.
