Hello 🙂
I'm Andy..I'm 59 and live in Birmingham, although I'm originally from London. I came to the Midlands a long time ago to do a degree in Politics and a postgraduate qualification in Housing, stayed, got married, had children and then eventually got divorced !
I have two fantastic sons, both recently left University and now flown the nest. I'm very proud of them and they are so precious to me.
I recently took early retirement from my job in the NHS, having always worked in the public sector including local government and the charity sector.
My views and values are definitely on the left, I'm a (mostly) Labour voter, a frustrated remainer and broadly don’t like Tories or Reform!
I like live music, especially in small venues covering lots of different stuff, rock indie reggae jazz. I enjoy independent cinema and read loads - some current affairs but also fiction. Some favourite books would be Birdsong, the Secret History, Brick Lane, White Teeth and the Great Gatsby to name a few.
I'm hoping to meet someone who is kind and caring with similar interests and values so we could share experiences and hopefully the future...
