About her
I am kind, considerate, intelligent, humorous, easy-going and tolerant (but not of liars, people with too high an opinion of themselves, extremists, bigots and various other intolerable types), affectionate, nice ... I am an optimistic, cheerful sort of person, equally happy to talk or to listen. I only have a reasonable amount of baggage for my time of life, because life has treated me very well and I can manage the load!
I would like to meet a man to go out with socially and enjoy life with. If he could be humorous, intelligent, fit and fun that would be a great start :-) Interested enough to get in touch would be great too..
When I win the lottery I will have an apartment in London and a house somewhere in Yorkshire as well as the one I have now. Meanwhile I do spend quite a bit of time in London, but staying with family.
I am a big fan of the Open University and aim to do more courses in the future, but at the moment and in my spare moments, I am doing MOOCs and other online courses. I am free to travel, and would love to have someone to travel with - not necessarily on long haul trips. Just to Scotland on a train, or a car trip somewhere in Europe.
Of course I never buy a lottery ticket but like I said... I am an optimist.
I have taught, translated and written and edited. Done simultaneous interpreting. Been a stay-at-home mother, briefly. Now retired and making plans for the future, which include writing and studying, dancing and swimming, going places with Someone.
I listen more to Radio 4 than anything.
