About him
A caring, intelligent, tactile and stand up guy who loves life's adventure and looking for someone to share new experiences. I live in the country in a small village near Salisbury.
Have a positive outlook on life and very fit and active. I play golf, but not very well, power walk every day, an active photographer and international defence commentator. I'm well travelled, having had a senior international role during my working career and retain a very keen interest in fine art, music, theatre, photography, science, technology, current affairs and rugby, having played at school, University and later.
I'm proud father of two adult children, a boy and girl and two grandchildren. One lives in Buckinghamshire and the other in West Sussex. I see them as often as I can. Over five years ago I lost my long term partner.
I'm very comfortable in my own skin and have no hangups with a lady being taller than me.
Friends say that I'm good fun to be with and always have a funny story to tell about life experiences. Ask me about the time I needed to use the toilet on a small regional aircraft in Canada, that stopped at another airfield on route to pick up other passengers.
My favourite destinations for holidays in Europe are Italy, France and Switzerland.
