I'm positive minded and optimistic in my outlook but balanced with a degree of realism. I'm quietly confident, get things done in a timely manner without fuss nor bother and sometimes even with a bit of inspiration. In a nutshell, you'll find a down to earth chap who's considerate, thoughtful and caring. Respect, patience, understanding, sincerity and laughter come with the package with the occasional spur of the moment surprise.
I have several of the usual interests for my peer group - socialising with friends, dinner, film, cooking, travel and the outdoors. Perhaps not as fast and supple as I once was but I do make time to stay fit, not only walking but also swim and cycle. Given a spare moment, I would be up and about - you won't catch me watching daytime TV! But then, at the end of the day perhaps a little time of the sofa to reflect on the day is quite in order.
My children are an important part of my life but they are building their own their independent lives with their own families. Now I have time and would prefer to share it with that special person. Someone to share thoughts, moments and dreams...

I can't say I have a particular vision of an ideal partner - it's a two way thing and depends so much on the interactions. I do think it soon becomes apparent to both sides if there is a chance of something more than an acquaintance.
