I embrace life, and enjoy living an active, healthy and interesting lifestyle. I have diverse interests and and enjoy interesting and authentic people and intelligent conversation. I have an enquiring mind and enjoy sharing thoughts, perspectives and discussing wide-ranging subjects. I enjoy being social but need my quiet time too, to recharge.
I've lived in a few countries (due to my father's work initially) and have experienced different cultures (including El Salvador, the Philippines, Europe including the UK and The Netherlands, and South Africa). My mother was Scottish. Have been back in New Zealand since 2015 after spending almost ten years living in Canberra. All these experiences shape who we are.
I'm happy and comfortable in many situations with people from many walks of life. Have many family members and friends overseas and enjoy travelling.
I don't have children of my own - not a conscious choice - and enjoy and embrace young thinking. I have two much-loved godsons, an adopted god daughter and a nephew and niece - and embrace their thinking and perspective on life! I have a much-loved Airedale Terrier, and am a real animal lover - it doesn't stop me travelling! I've had horses in the past. Grew up sailing, am a keen snow skier and enjoy cycling and keeping fit (although not as good at that as I was pre Covid - I'm working on improving that)!
