I am described as pleasant; my grandchildren are very keen to see me; the dementia group I volunteer with are always very pleased when I am there - seem to enjoy my humour and background knowledge; when I sing or lead a group singing to entertain at care homes, the audience seem stimulated and happier; I have picked up many skills both physical and social which make me useful. I’m still much fitter than my age implies and want to make the most of my new lifestyle, with spontaneity, travel, new experiences and learning.
