About her
I am a person who values kindness, compassion and tolerance, together with a warmhearted, gracious and affectionate nature. Curious, financially secure and a bit zany with a girly young mindset. Having a classical education and after my children became independent, I spent years exploring places rich in history, culture, people, antiques, art, architecture and wonderful food, sailed in several waters and lived abroad including Provence. Moving forward, I now feel my adventures and experiences enhance my appreciation of both the finer things in life together with simple pleasures: Good food, interesting easy conversation & lovely surroundings, home and away mean a lot to me.
I also appreciate being in the countryside (having once lived on a farm) and find it awe inspiring, nourishing and humbling. Memories of my time in Africa, the Okavango Delta, Kalahari, Masai Mara, together with France,Italy, Greece and New Zealand are special to me.
There is a Pablo Neruda poem that conveys my life philosophy. Basically don’t allow yourself to get stuck in a rut .. [However comfortable that is].
