About her
Just into my eighth decade (I’m 70). Widowed 2022 and lost 2 elderly dogs since. I miss a someone to walk with, talk over a nice a meal with, to hold hands and have a special close relationship with. So joined this site with trepidation to check out possibilities.
Life is now different but could be exciting.

My new canine companions, rescue dogs (new, joined me May 23). They are now a fixture, a non negotiable part of my life.
My garden (it’s large!!),
Looking at the night sky, listening to music and bird song, walking in the country, visiting new places and revisiting old haunts
Steam trains, travelling on them, modelling railway dioramas and running model trains, I’m a member of a model rail group (modelling but not a model).
Relaxing watching TV in front of the fire or reading a book maybe planning my garden (winter months).
Meals out or cooking.
Listening to music with a glass of wine in front of the fire.
My photos (apart from the one with the fringe 2013) are 2022 and 2023. I am honest and would expect honesty from you. That is non negotiable. I have had to cut ties in the past year to keep my life on track but since then have made many new friends. You will find me trustworthy, empathic and a good friend.
If I make contact and you view my profile and think you are not for me please let me know, I will not be offended or upset. I am a realist. This is not an easy way to look for someone special, definitely not perfect. I do not believe there is only one possible “Mr Right”. If we both think a relationship is possible please be prepared to chat over a few days so we can get to know one another. In return I will be honest, and as you see I have some non negotiable criteria, please don’t be offended if I say I don’t think it will work. There are many possible paths in life but that said life is too short to take the wrong one.

It is not possible to give a description of my “Mr Right” so I won’t try, there are so many variables so many possibilities….
I would like to meet a special someone with whom I can share hobbies, days out, a meal, walks (not too long a long hike please and let’s enjoy the scenery on the way), travel together on holidays maybe more. Music events, visit exhibitions and shows.
You should want to develop a new relationship slowly. Becoming friends before moving on to a deeper relationship. My ideal match would be near my age, fit enough to enjoy walking and to share hobbies. I have 2 left feet so if you enjoy ballroom dancing I am not for you but smooching maybe. You should make me smile , we should be able to laugh together. Developing a new relationship takes time, there have been enormous changes to my life in the last year and now I would like to share enthusiastically my new life with a special companion and friend.
So life is short but maybe you would like to take a risk and chat? If you think we may be a possibility and we don’t take that chance we will never know.
