No, that's not me (well perhaps it might be on a very, very, VERY bad day...). I'm describing my last experience of dating.
But I'm an optimist.

I should add that I love my work and will probably never retire! My ideal partner will be as engaged and curious about the world as I am and still working. I note that many people on this site want to travel the world taking MONTHS off. I don't want to do that. NOPE. Not because I've no curiosity, but because I've seen a lot of the world, and believe me most of the nice bits (and even the less nice bits) can be visited or re-visited over a long w/e or at most during a three week holiday 🤣😂.

I value liveliness, jollity, kindness, patience, the ability to back down and say sorry (on both sides), an original mind, humour, and self-knowledge.
