I am a well-travelled, retired teacher with an irreverent sense of humour, who's looking for a like-minded companion for outings, travels home and abroad, concerts, walks, and all those activities best shared. I am sociable and compassionate, a bit left leaning....cosmopolitan outlook with family all over the world..not a flag-waver....happily obtained dual nationality just recently so seriously considering moving abroad. Love simple things in life. Picnics! Talker/writer/communicator/linguist/tran slator/local radio presenter. Need a walking mate, with or without dog, for exercise of body and mind. Can't do long distance relationship anymore - just would like to have someone who is near enough to pop in for a coffee, a meal or a walk, to enjoy a picnic, pick some bluebells, go to art galleries, concerts, shows, have adventures at home and abroad....not into extreme sports or camping but not averse to a bit of glamping! My regular holiday haunts are Italy (as often as possible) Cornwall and Pembrokeshire but in recent years have travelled to India and South America so am hoping to find someone with some wanderlust. I have many friends, am a gregarious person who loves to entertain whether it be a meal at my place or a picnic on the hills. I enjoy my small garden and have green fingers! I am not much of a drinker and not into hanging around in pubs or bars but a cup of good coffee in a sunny spot with the right person would make me very happy. I am low-maintenance but have high standards. I don't mind travelling a bit if the chemistry is right.. am a keen writer so am happy to swap emails for a while and take things slowly...just friendship will do for starters but if interested please subscribe and send a message as time doesn't stand still....
