Very active retired Royal Air Force Officer, seeks partner in crime to explore life, have fun and laugh ‘till it hurts.
I live in a wonderful place, have loads of great friends, have lots of hobbies, but I really miss having some one to share it all with. Sport keeps me sane, I do long distance open water sea swimming, cycle, and the occasional triathlon, so I’m no couch potato. I love live theatre, all sorts of music, and I play in a local ukulele band. I love the sun, and prefer summer to winter. I used to ski regularly, but haven’t since Covid. I love all animals, especially dogs. I guess I am a tad opinionated, and I don’t suffer fools, but if a person gives it their all, but still fails, then that’s good enough for me. Despite being quite independent and self sufficient, I know that a relationship requires compromise. I also believe that there has to be chemistry in a real relationship. I’m also aware that I may seem a bit of a challenge, but for the right person, it could be great fun.
And above all, I really miss having someone to laugh with, from a knowing giggle to a side aching uncontrollable collapse.

So here's a bit of an update, it may sound trite or even pompous, but it's not meant to be :
Despite my date of birth, I am pretty active and fairly fit. I train at least 3 times a week, compete throughout the summer months, and am not ready for my slippers and sofa. However, ladies of my age just don't do what I do, and to be quite honest their average life styles are poles apart from mine, so we are both wasting each other's time. So with respect, Ladies over, say 68 ish, please don't bother to contact me any more, unless you are the exception to the rule.
No doubt the above will get me in to trouble, but it's the truth.

Where do I start, and would you exist, my imagination is going wild ?
Firstly my match needs to have read my profile, and then made an honest judgement that we may have something. Honesty is very important, because with honesty comes trust.
From there, I guess blonde hair and blue eyes with a figure to die for would be rather nice, but not essential. A great sense of humour though, is an essential, and on the same wavelength. Someone who looks great in both a ball gown or shorts and a tee shirt. Someone I’d be so proud to take to a party, or out to dinner in company, but whom I would be secretly rather be home alone with because I adore their company. Someone who feels the chemistry, someone who I can make laugh, someone with whom I can share the real me, and do the same for them.
I could go on, but I hope you get a feel for my dreams, and we all need to have dreams.
