Oh dear, the dreaded self-description! Erm.... I’m independent, like my own company, pretty self-sufficient, but missing a special someone to hang out with, share life experiences with. I’m creative, practical, straightforward, irreverent, lead an unusual life (spent years on cruise ships), worked backstage in West End theatre (costumes), renovated London properties, had a home in Provence, not a “nine-to-five” person. Interested in the arts, theatre, old house renovation, architecture, antique/vintage fairs, French brocante markets, psychology. No children, but love them, so if you have grandchildren - great! If you have a dog, as I do, great too! I’m not in the least sporty, but better at DIY than a lot of men! If you are sporty, fine. Like good food and wine. Music - Ella, Aretha, Motown, Classical, can’t be doing with Country, heavy metal or Rap. My dream would be to attend the New Years Eve Strauss concert in Vienna. I sing show tunes around the house, even when I’m sober, and sadly, know all the words 🤦🏻♀️ Curb your Enthusiasm is my idea of funny. Fawlty Towers leaves me cold. Live theatre over cinema. Have been going through a no TV phase for ages, rather odd considering Lockdown, but could be persuaded back. Prefer radio, podcasts or learning things on Youtube. I make things which I sell online. Miss popping over to France dreadfully. Hope to have a little bolt hole there again. Possibly Normandy this time - a shorter drive than to Provence, though not as sunny....

Ideal man? 🤔 Honest, laughs easily and makes me laugh, lead an interesting life. Thoughtful. If widowed or divorced, ready to move on, as I am. Fairly easy going. An interest in the arts would be nice. Someone who is happy doing his own thing and happy to give each other “me time” so we can look forward to together time. If you would enjoy driving around France and Italy exploring and smelling the roses on the way, staying at quirky little B&B’s, eating at local Bistros great. If you might like living abroad for a portion of the year, even better. Oh, and you’d need to like my dog, but she is a zen-like, quiet, perfect angel. Sorry I can’t say the same about her owner 😉. However, lists are pretty useless really, it is all about chemistry, isn’t it?
