About her
After a longish period of feeling stuck, and having learnt a lot of new things about myself in the past year, I feel in a much better place now to start dating.
I have been described as empathetic, intellectual, and interesting. I live in Cambridge and work as a freelance editorial consultant, but I am considering going in a different direction work wise.
I've done a number of things for work: school teacher, project editor (publishing), postgraduate researcher (PhD 2004), one-to-one tutor, university teaching fellow.
The kind of holiday I like: breathtaking scenery or an interesting new city, new things to see/discover/learn about, good food, sunshine, a nice hotel or a simble b&b, time to unwind, exercise.
I can go quite long periods without socialising and am fairly happy in my own company. However, I really enjoy socialising from time to time, as long as it's not too riotous.
Home: I am fairly tidy. Comfort is important, though style has its place.
Religion: I had a Christian upbringing; these days I go to church just occasionally.
Politics: I don't belong to a particular political party, but I take a general interest.

If you're a super-conscientious type of person, you might find me too frustrating at times, as I've learned that I am not, though I try to be reasonably so!
