About her
I really enjoy socialising, at meetups (maybe involving a play or concert, an exhibition, a philosophical discussion) or elsewhere. I like dancing (e.g. salsa), swimming, cooking, reading (I'm currently very interested in reading about the human brain or about mental health), writing, and listening to classical music (including opera). I hope to pick up the flute and/or piano again soon, and maybe sing. I'm quite happy at home and/or in my own company but not all of the time!
I’ve done a number of things for work: school teacher, project editor (publishing), researcher (PhD in Latin - I'm proud to say that my thesis was published in 2008!); one-to-one tutor; university teaching fellow. Currently I work as a freelance editorial consultant.
My undergraduate and postgraduate degrees were in Classics. I have since developed quite a few other interests of course but still appreciate the 'training' I had at uni.
I’d like to do more travelling going forward – not very fussed about where – though being an ‘armchair traveller’ can be good too.
