I am very kind and friendly, but a little shy at first until you get to know me. I like music very much - of all kinds - and I play the violin and sing in a choir for fun. I like the outdoors and especially travelling (Europe, USA, Canada) and visiting historical sights. I love Italy very much and go there on holiday whenever I can. I don't like dishonesty. My work means I don't have much time for hobbies but I do enjoy reading, writing, films, theatre, cinema, shopping and cooking in my spare time. I am really interested in history, current affairs and religion. For fun and relaxation I like to curl up with a good book (novel or history) or play my violin. My outlook is generally the glass is half-full.

I am looking for someone who is kind, honest, intelligent, has a good sense of humour and likes travel. Hopefully he will be determined and serious, but not take himself too seriously! I am hoping to meet a good friend in the first instance, with the possibility of more over time if we get on.
