I've been told I am a caring and fun person. I'm engaging and sociable, loving time with friends and having interesting conversations. I am very loyal and am incredibly lucky to have many good friends in the UK and around the world, who enrich my life.
I have strong family values and believe in commitment through thick and thin. I also believe in community. I try to see the best in people. I am naturally optimistic, even having taken some knocks of disappointment. I am a kind and respectful person and expect the same in return.
With a special person, cosy time together, relaxing and getting to know each other deeply, is very important to me. Doing this with cooking and eating of healthy food (or sometimes less healthy food) is a definitely a bonus.
I am well travelled across all continents, but these days holidays are about quality time for me over far flung places.
I am quite a polymath professionally. I was an academic scientist that moved into big business, and now in consultancy. Environmental sustainability has become a recent focus, both professionally and personally.
Sport wise i enjoy club tennis and squash, and cycling in the countryside. A good pub at the end of a cycle or walk with good company would be a welcome finale.

After that, I think it's good to have some shared interests and some different ones. Then we can bring new things to each other's lives. And also good to have some interests that remain different.
We may have different strengths, but overall i think it's good for things to feel equal. A mixture of grounded practicality with the freedom to dream is the best mix for me in a partner.
