About her
I'm a lot. In a good way; I'm not particularly prone to apathy on many subjects and what I do I do 110%. Whether that's working on my research, learning a new skill, or even just being a completionist in a video game playthrough, I tend to get really into things and am usually excited to share things about that with the people around me.
I've lived the last three years in South Bend, Indiana finishing up residency requirements for my PhD and will be moving to Dublin, Ireland in the Fall. My plan is to focus on my work but also take some time to travel; I've already seen a lot of Ireland and the UK (I lived in Galway City for 6 months in 2014, and spent two months in Dublin and another month in the Gaeltacht last summer), but have yet to go to mainland Europe itself. Definitely looking for someone up for travel adventures.
I have a huge array of interests; Boston Bruins hockey, single player fantasy computer RPGs, hiking, dogs, Harry Potter, skiing, modernist literature, board games, swimming, linguistics, fantasy genre fiction, wandering aimlessly around cities, the theatre (plays, musicals, dance performances), Lord of the Rings, playing clarinet, playing Irish tinwhistle, white people hipster music, Jazz, Irish trad music, and more.
Politically I'm very far to the left for an American, so be warned.

Ideally I'd like to find a guy who is smart, funny, kind, doesn't have anger issues, probably kind of a dork but in an endearing way, likes to travel, likes to cuddle, likes dogs, is a feminist and left-leaning, shares some of my interests in some capacity (though obviously we wouldn't need to match in every, or even a majority of those tbh)...
So after the initial infatuation phase of a relationship is over I tend to revert to being fairly independent. I do like to do a lot of things on my own as I'm fairly introverted, but it's nice to be able to "be alone together" as a form of quality time. I enjoy intelligent, informed conversation generally, but also appreciate someone who is able to be utterly ridiculous as I veer between the two fairly often.
