In Her Own Words

About her

Well, this is a bit out of my comfort zone, but here goes.....

I've somehow got to the age of 41 without meeting the right person, not sure how that's happened (yes, there's a past, but a very past past), so children are not really an option now, but I hope that won't put you off.

I'm a friendly and positive (but also realistic) person who looks young for her age. I have a gentle, easy-going, down-to-earth nature and I'm also a big softy. My friends say I'm intelligent and strong, but also sensitive, kind and loving, and that I have a good sense of humour.

I'm quite a homebird, especially in the evenings, and would love to meet someone special to share my home life with. I love books and reading, listening to music, learning languages, baking and also pottering about in my garden; trying to grow veg - with mixed results! - and planting flowers to attract bees. I enjoy visiting museums/historic/cultural sites, walking in the countryside or by the sea, and discovering new coffee/tea shops! I also enjoy going to the cinema, to restaurants and the theatre, as well as just chilling out in front of the TV. I'm not a fan of nightclubs, bar crawls or big parties, though I am a sociable person.

I also have the travel bug (yes, it's possible to have both wanderlust and homebirdyness at the same time!). I love exploring new places and learning about different cultures, and would love to see much more of the world. I'm also open to learning about your hobbies/interests and discovering new things, though I very much love the warmth so I'm not into winter sports, or anything slightly cold!

I also enjoy spending time with close family members who (mostly) live nearby. I don't have any children but I do have two lovely guinea pigs.

Work-wise I work for the NHS as a chartered health librarian - an information specialist supporting evidence-based practice. It's a lot more than stamping books!

About her ideal match

I'm looking for a down-to-earth, kind and caring person, with a positive/realistic outlook on life.

Someone to explore new places, and discover the world, with. Someone equally happy at home; sharing simple pleasures, a cosy home life, good conversations and lots of giggles. Someone who people would describe as "a decent bloke" and who would become my best friend.

Someone who is a non-smoker, with left-leaning politics and a remainer too.

What Her Friends Say

Sarah-Joy said...

I've known Suzanne for about ten years now, since I shared a flat with her when we were both doing post-graduate courses. So I know she's easy to live with, and has practical skills that came in very handy!

Suzanne quickly became one of my closest friends. She is friendly, cheerful, and has a good sense of humour. She's also incredibly thoughtful: always looking out for other people, even when she has her own problems to worry about; keeping track of what's going on in her friends' lives, even when they live far away; and giving really personal birthday presents. I know I can confide in her, and rely on her to give good advice. So it's no wonder we've continued to be close friends.

Suzanne is independent and intelligent. She deserves someone who will treat her with respect and appreciate the lovely person she is!
