Kia Ora!
I’m known for being warm, generally happy with a highly intuitive, perceptive, empathic nature, holistic perspective, and the ability to find beauty in unexpected places.
I’m Māori, Tahitian, Italian, French, Norwegian, Swiss and connect strongly with my Māori/Tahitian upbringing/beliefs - Central to who I am and my growth as a person.
Deep connecting conversations over small talk is key.
Sharing unique adventures and experiences (ghost tours, museum/art gallery hopping, farmer's markets, Aquariums, botanical gardens, historic sites, coastal/river walks, Ballet), and moments with loved ones where feelings and conversations linger long after plates are cleared.
I’m drawn to beautiful, simple, comfortable settings and need music, reflective baths/swims, the reassuring touch of nature, and sunset/sunrise/moon gazing.
Animals, children and (art)ifacts command my attention first. I’m a wildlife rescue volunteer, save spiders and other critters from certain squishing, and a slave to adopted/foster cats with special needs who occasionally let me share the furniture/bed.
Apparently! I’m an animal whisperer.
Born with Spina Bifida, I’ve had many exhilarating and terrifying experiences and adventures working with a variety of animals from America to Zanzibar with many twists when my abundant curves and Spina Bifida can prove disastrous.
Especially, when said curves and my “adorable” clumsiness meet bamboo bridges, hidden gems off the beaten path, rickety overcrowded public transport and animals who behave like stroppy teenagers.
All, while trying to retain a crumb of dignity.
Thankfully, my quirky usually quick-witted Kiwi sense of humour is often my saving grace when my patience and Kiwi ingenuity is tested with "Uh oh!" moments, cringing embarrassments and the occasional glorious lack of sophistication.
I’m barefoot whenever possible (Polynesian/hidden Hobbit genes), an approximatura playing Cellist (More yo-yo master than Yo-Yo Ma!), and, a Witch for neatly folding fitted sheets.

Flashy gestures won’t work, but unique, thoughtful ones will. As will, the ability to make me laugh often, without sarcasm or hostile humour (although, not while I'm walking, I'll fall over or bump into things).

A passion for animals and their welfare/conservation is essential - Especially of wildlife, cats (not superstitious about black cats), dogs and horses (not racing).
Family and friends integral in your life and, open to the possibility of having children - I’m an Angel Mummy.
Will you join me in doing Yoga, or a mini marathon (be prepared to walk...A lot!) or a hike? Once upon a time, I completed 4 charity swim-a-thons and 3 half marathons - Getting to the start was an achievement, never mind the finish line.
My Spina Bifida and Spinal injuries (accident) doesn't necessarily rule out the latter two, even though they leave me with, “Good luck with walking for a week after”, it just needs to be factored in, as do my food allergies.

As family, I've known H. for many years. I've watched as people hardly notice her at first, and then without them realizing it, her truly unique, quirky, warm, kind, and nurturing ways quietly storm straight into their hearts.
She's sensitive, empathetic, emotionally secure, intelligent, frustrating-at-times, fierce when treated harshly, well-travelled, and cultured. Her heart breaks over animal and human cruelty, injustice, prejudice, and the state of the world.
