Ivory Towers' people are supposed to know a lot, so a Quiz Night was thought to be a good idea - and so it proved. Questions ranged from "the number of rooms in the Cluedo Mansion", "independent countries ending in the letter 'i'", to the inevitable Picture Round.
For those who performed well (that was almost everybody) there were plenty of chocolate prizes. There was a "dating" format, so people were able to change team mates on every round and get to know different people.
Thanks to everybody who came and contributed their company and knowledge to the evening!

Ivory Towers members got together on Tuesday 24th July for another of its occasional informal drinks evenings. By some amazing chance we happened to pick one of the only real "summer" evenings of the week, if not the entire month. Tuesday was a truly fine and warm summer evening which really added to the atmosphere.
This did make the beer garden busier than is normal for a Tuesday evening, but Ivory Towers members managed to carve a space and enjoy plenty of Pimms and lemonade, wine and lager as well as each other's company - and mingling continued happily for many hours into the night.
There was also plenty of discussion about other possible events... quiz night? Another wine tasting? Makeover session? We'll let you know!

Ivory Towers held its first Wine Tasting even on Wednesday 25 April together with Beesocial with guests there to pit their wits against each other and the wiles of the wine experts.
Several different wines were presented, and it was up to each taster to decide whether this was party plonk or a special vintage. There was a great range of people, from true novices to true experts.
The men moved around from table to table after each tasting, so everybody got to meet everybody else. At the end, prizes were presented and contact cards were passed around for those interested in future contact...
